Where to Stay
Lodging at Massanutten is split between two main areas: the Mountain, closest to the ski slopes and Base Camp, and the Valley, closest to the Waterpark and Woodstone Meadows Golf Course. Accommodations range from hotel-style rooms and one-bedroom condos to spacious four-bedroom townhomes, with options for family trips, group getaways, couples’ retreats, and select dog-friendly stays. No matter where you stay, you’ll be close to the best the resort has to offer.
Day Visitors
Not a resort guest? Not a problem! Here, you’ll find things to do near Harrisonburg at Massanutten without staying overnight. There’s plenty to enjoy as a day visitor. Waterpark day passes, golf tee times, spa appointments, dining, and many resort activities are open to day visitors, with advance online booking recommended. Come for a few hours or make a full day of it.

Massanutten Resort is located at 1822 Resort Drive, Massanutten, VA 22840, in Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley.
Approximate driving times:
- From Washington, DC: 2 hours
- From Richmond, VA: 2 hours
- From Charlotte, NC: 5 hours
- From Raleigh/Durham, NC: 5 hours
For the most accurate directions, search for “Massanutten Resort” in your GPS rather than “Massanutten, Virginia.”
Know Before You Go
Lodging check-in times vary by unit type, generally between 4 and 6 PM. Check-out is at 10 AM.
Waterpark tickets are often a better value when purchased online in advance.

Popular Massanutten Resort activities, including snow tubing, mountain coaster, and seasonal chairlift rides, can sell out. Book ahead when possible.
Age, height, and weight requirements vary by activity. Check the requirements before booking, especially when planning adventures for children.
Closed-toe shoes are required for zip line, mountain coaster, biking, and climbing activities.
